How do you feel the media portrays social justice issues?

The media portrays social justice issues in many ways depending on what the social justice issue is about, whether it is a good issue or a bad issue. I feel the media portrays issues sometimes morally or immorally  depending on the issue but in the end the media/journalist just want to sell a story anyway they can.
Has it been difficult to find articles on social justice issues why/why not?

No is hasent because most articles are social justice issues because the effect a large number of people. This means more people would want to read more because it has effected more people.
Do you think that the media operates from a moral framework? Give evidence by using your research.

On somecases yes and on some cases no but mostly their not. The medias job is to sell stories and make money and to do this they paraprhares and streetch the truth. The media does not operate from a moral framework they operate on money.

Open and read the “How to write a critique” document in the resources menu.
Describe what is a critique.

A critique involves identifying critical things to say about an article and resisting the temptation to describe rather than analyse. In hearing that, it fundamentally is just an essay/article that provides a critical evaluation.

Outline the FOUR stages in a critique.
A critique usually has 4 parts/ satges:

· An introduction (which directs the reader’s attention to the publication and your response to it)

· A summary of the article

· Your analysis or critical commentary on the original text

· Your evaluation or conclusion

Can a critique be positive? Discuss.

From reading the document “How to write a critique” it is evident that a critique can be positive or negative and even mixed. In stage 4(evaluation) of writing a critique it states;

“Is weighing up the positive and negative aspects to decide what value you put on the article”. For this reason, if the positive aspects prevail over the negative aspects, it is assumed the critique is positive.

Critique the accuracy of the following articles

2 year old donkey called up to pro donkey basketball league.

The story is considered important because the donkey has jumped from fundraising games striaght to the pro donkey basketball league. I think the story is fake and is not really worthy of being on the news and i dont know if it is accurate because it is fake.

The story is about a young donkey who makes it into pro donkey basketball league the reporter is talking about how can the donkey can cope with the presure of being in the pro donkey basketball league.

There are many more weaknesses than strengths in the article because the article is not very important  unless you watch the  pro donkey basketball league which is not real. One weakness is there is no info on the pro basketball league which makes in hard for the reader to know if the league is actually real. It is also very hard to spot any errors because it is not real.

You get no “real” message because its fake and not really accurate because the audience knows nothing about the actual story.

In conclusion the accuracy of the story is not good because the story is fake and has no evidence of the stroy being real.
